Introducing the Cascade YC Boot Swap: Supporting Our Football Family

We're excited to announce the launch of the Cascade YC Boot Swap, a new initiative designed to support families within our club community and ensure every child has access to proper football boots.

Why We're Doing This

Kids grow fast, and football boots that fitted perfectly at the start of the season can be too small by Christmas. We know that buying new boots isn't always affordable for every family, and we understand that some parents might feel uncomfortable asking for help. The Boot Swap removes those barriers and creates a simple, dignified way for families to access the equipment their children need.

How the Boot Swap Works

The process is straightforward and designed to be as easy as possible for everyone:

1. Drop Off Donations: If your child has outgrown their boots and they're still in good condition, drop them off at the clubhouse or hand them directly to your child's coach

2. We Sort and Store: All donated boots will be sorted by size and stored on shelves in the home changing room

3. Check Availability: We'll post available sizes on our Facebook page and inform coaches so families can easily see what's in stock

4. Voluntary Donations: There will be a donation box available for those who wish to contribute, but this is completely voluntary with no obligation whatsoever

   
   

A Few Simple Guidelines

To ensure boots are ready for their next young player:

• Please give them a good clean before donating

• Make sure they're in usable condition

• Check that studs are intact and the boots have plenty of life left in them

  
  

Supporting Each Other

This initiative is all about our club community looking after one another, especially as we head into the Christmas period when family budgets can be stretched thin. Every donation, no matter the size or condition, makes a difference to a child who wants to play the game we all love.
